Remote PTO and throttle for grain vacs

Change engine speed from where you are working.

A PTO grain vac often needs its speed changed as the job changes, and it may be parked well away from where the work is. PowerSync lets you adjust the tractor's engine speed and stop the PTO from a handheld remote.

Why a remote helps

  • Set engine speed from the job. The arrows on the remote raise and lower engine RPM without a trip to the cab. The hand throttle still works and takes priority.
  • Stop without walking back. Press STOP to disengage the PTO.
  • Fast setup. The remote has a magnetic back and a lanyard loop, so it stays with you.

Know the limits

You need to keep the machine and the area around it in view, and nobody should be near the driveline when the PTO starts. Do not rely on a remote that is off or out of range to keep the PTO from running: it is not a lockout device. Never go into a bin with the PTO able to run. Before any service or clearing a plug, shut off the engine, remove the key, and disconnect the controller.

Range is up to about 300 ft in the open. Bin walls and buildings reduce it, so check it at your own site. If contact is lost for 10 seconds, the PTO shuts off.

Will it fit your tractor?

Fit depends on the throttle sensor and PTO switch on your John Deere. See every model by series.

Rotating PTO equipment can cause severe injury or death. Confirm people and animals are clear before you start, and keep the machine and the area around it in view. Tell everyone working nearby that the PTO is remote controlled. PowerSync is not a lockout device: before service, shut off the engine, remove the key, and disconnect the controller.
