Remote PTO and throttle for grain augers

Run the auger from where you can see the grain, not from the cab.

Moving grain with a PTO auger means a lot of walking. You start the PTO in the cab, walk to the hopper or the bin, walk back to change engine speed, and walk back again to shut down. PowerSync puts those controls in a handheld remote.

How it works at the bin

  1. Park the tractor, set it up, and turn the tractor's own PTO switch ON. The remote cannot engage the PTO unless that switch is on.
  2. Confirm everyone is clear, then press UNLOCK and PTO together to start the auger.
  3. Use the up and down arrows to bring engine speed to where you want it.
  4. Press STOP when the bin is full or something needs attention.

What to know first

  • Range. Up to about 300 ft in the open. Bins, buildings, and machinery cut that down, so test it at your own site.
  • Keep it in view. Stay where you can see the machine and the area around it.
  • Lost signal. If the remote is out of contact for 10 seconds, the PTO shuts off and stays off until you press the buttons again.
  • One system at a time. Only one PowerSync system may be powered on within radio range. A remote commands every PowerSync controller it can reach.

Will it fit your tractor?

PowerSync plugs in at the throttle sensor and PTO switch, so fit depends on which parts your John Deere was built with. See every model by series.

Rotating PTO equipment can cause severe injury or death. Confirm people and animals are clear before you start, and keep the machine and the area around it in view. Tell everyone working nearby that the PTO is remote controlled. PowerSync is not a lockout device: before service, shut off the engine, remove the key, and disconnect the controller.
